Bjork and A Tribe Called Quest go together like peanut butter and jelly.  She produced these remixes of “Stressed Out” back in the ’90s and those horns kill it every time.

How have I never heard of this before?

“It Never Entered My Mind” is a beautiful track off Workin’ with The Miles Davis Quintet. It’s a show tune from Higher and Higher.

One day I’ll find a wine that I can only describe by playing this piece of music.

Such a great melody on this one. Reminds me of my jazz-playing days. I like how they switch from straight time to swing.

Transformer, by Marnie Stern

Saw Marnie play at the Music Hall of Williamsburg last night. IN-fucking-CREDIBLE. She was better than every punk band I’ve ever seen put together. She is sick, sick, sick, and her drummer, Zach Hill is sick too!! She is the freshest thing happening right now, and she’s even playing tonight (Saturday 29th) as well at the Santos Party House.

Mozart ~ Requiem (Confutatis)

I watched Amadeus for the 43,567th time last night.  It’s one of my favorite films, kind of a holiday ritual, and always makes me wonder what it must have felt like to have notes flow from the brain like that.
